Help with Childcare Costs

Eligible families in England can access a range of government-funded childcare support, which could help reduce the cost of childcare.

The Best Start in Life Childcare Checker allows parents and carers to check what support they may be entitled to, estimate childcare costs and find childcare providers in their area.

Support available may include funded childcare hours, Tax-Free Childcare and help with childcare costs through Universal Credit, depending on individual circumstances and eligibility.

We encourage all parents and carers to use the checker to make sure they are receiving all the childcare support they may be entitled to.
