At Quarry Bank, we want children to embrace the power and importance music has on both a personal and communal level. Our aim is to inspire children to explore and cherish its importance as a tool for creativity, an instrument for communication, and something that just brings us joy. 

Music is currently being led by Mrs Qamar and Miss Harper.

We love celebrating music! Every week the children here a new genre of music, from Rock Legends, to one-hit wonders, all the way to bossa Nova! The teachers play them a song from this genre each day in the classroom. 

We also have our wonderful choir, who are receiving fantastic tuition from Miss Harper this year, alongside some great visits from Dudley Performing Arts. The rock concert for Key Stage 2 and the woodwind performance for Reception and Key Stage 1 have been particular highlights!
