Wider Curriculum

Quarry Bank Primary School is a 1.5 form entry school, meaning we have 45 children in each year group and 3 classes in each teaching phase. As a result, our curriculum is on a 2-year cycle to ensure all children receive the same high-quality instruction and content that is both progressive in skills and knowledge. 

During the academic year 2024-25 children will study Year B. They will study Year A the following year and continue to alternate thereafter.

Each individual subject has a specific approach and pedagogy that supports its delivery, underpinned by our teaching and learning principles. We have outlined each subject and how it 'lives' our Curriculum Drivers and values.
